Meetings and Events

We seek to hold meetings and events for members around 2 times monthly. We usually plan for afternoon or early evening times to best accommodate student schedules. Stay tuned for email announcements and social media posts for upcoming events. Most gatherings will take place in-person, but we may occasionally hold meetings with Zoom access. Modality options will be noted when available.

Who can join?

SDSA is open to all CSUF students regardless of major. Come network, attend workshops, discuss sociology with others, make a difference, and get involved!

What students gain from joining SDSA?

Benefits include access to all social events, professionalization opportunities, and access to SDSA t-shirts and graduation stoles  (for paying members). Throughout the academic year we host a variety of events. These includes things like, socializing over free bowling, hearing from topical guest speakers, and stimulating field trips. We also host Sociology Week in every Spring semester. Students interested in gaining leadership experience are encouraged to apply for open board positions when they are available.

Does SDSA have Social Media?

Yes. You can follow SDSA on Instagram in the link below.
